Aquos Pad SHT21 tablet with Sharp IGZO display: Specs & Features

Recently, Sharp has revealed the display technology IGZO and now it has gone to the masses. Initially, the company introduced its own smartphone Aquos Phone Zeta SH-02E on the basis of this screen, then ASUS Padfone 2, where IGZO-mounted display, and it is time to tablets. In particular, it was also the first product from Sharp, called Aquos Pad SHT21.

Unfortunately, the Aquos Pad SHT21 tablet is focused only on the Japanese market and will be distributed to national mobile operator KDDI. Sales of Aquos Pad SHT21 will start in the middle of December. The device is installed a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, dual-core SoC MSM8960 1.5 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash memory, which can be increased with cards microSD. Also support for Bluetooth 4.0, MHL, NFC and 4G LTE. Battery capacity is 3460 mAh, and the weight of the tablet is 280 g.

The battery is not the most comprehensive, but the display IGZO differs significantly in less energy than conventional LCD or AMOLED-analogues, which compensates for the relatively weak battery. This Aquos Pad SHT21 tablet will be running on Android OS whose version is not known.
