Dell has developed a new model ultrabook and unlike most of the existing solutions on the market, this new product uses the operating system Linux, in this case we are talking about Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition.

The model presented is based on the ultrabook XPS-13 as its name suggests. The device turned out quite productive. The new ultrabook is powered with Intel Core of the third generation (family of Ivy Bridge): Core i5 or Core i7. Also, the system is available for DDR3 memory up to 8 GB SSD and a 256 GB. Its 13.3 display supports a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels. Moreover its graphic system is integrated into the processor core Intel HD 4000. Additionally equipped with a new 1.3-megapixel web camera, wireless modules Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0, and two ports USB 3.0, video output and Mini DisplayPort. Complete battery capacity is sufficient to work offline for 6 hours.

Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition ultrabook has the dimensions 316 × 205 × 18 mm and a weight of 1.36 kg. The operating system used is Ubuntu Linux 12.04 LTS.
