HTC Windows Phone 8X and HTC Windows Phone 8S smartphones coming soon: Specs & Features

HTC company in New York, USA, in conjunction with Microsoft Corporation announced smartphone HTC Windows Phone 8X and HTC Windows Phone 8S, running on the new operating system of Windows Phone 8.

Both devices are made in a new HTC design concept, and almost echo the appearance of previous models.

If we talk specifically about HTC Windows Phone 8X smartphone which is equipped with a 4.3-inch Super LCD display with two 1280×720 pixels (341 ppi), disguised protective glass Gorilla Glass 2. This is HTC’s flagship smartphone on Windows Phone 8, respectively, it installed with a new 28-nanometer system-on-a-chip with the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor at 1.5 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. To store user data, there are 16 GB of internal storage.

For shooting photos and videos in HTC Windows Phone 8X there is an 8-megapixel camera with a backlit BSI, a maximum aperture of f/2.0 and LED flash. For the first time in its smartphone HTC has used a 2.1-megapixel front camera with ultra viewing angle of 88 °. The company argued that the new front-facing camera can hold in your field of view up to 4 people.

 

Now it’s turn for junior model HTC Windows Phone 8S got a 4-inch Super LCD display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, covered with protective glass Gorilla Glass. It also uses a system-on-chip, Snapdragon S4, but with a reduced frequency of 1 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM. Internal memory, compared to the older model, is also less than a total of 4 GB, but it can be extended through the slot for microSD.

HTC Windows Phone 8S

Camera in HTC Windows Phone 8S is a 5 megapixel with a focal length of 35 mm and a maximum aperture of f/2.8 LED-flash. But there is no front camera for video calling in this model.

Devices HTC Windows Phone 8X and HTC Windows Phone 8S will be available to retailers this fall: moreover, Windows Phone 8X will cost $700 and will appear in the end of October; Windows Phone 8S is worth around $400 and is expected in late November.
