The screen size of the Androids/Smartphones is increasing further with the introduction of Huawei Ascend Mate Smartphone recently unveiled by Huawei’s chairman Richard Yu. The official unveiling will happen in CES 2013 press. Dell was the first to introduce the Streak 5 ‘Phablet’ (which is hybrid of Phone and Tablet) with big screen. The screen size of Huawei Ascend Mate is even bigger than Streak 5 which is 6.1 inch. With such big screens and new Smartphone features Huawei Ascend Mate will definitely compete the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 and other large screen devices available in the market. The big screen gives an added advantage where one can watch movies on the phone.

The price of Huawei Ascend Mate is going to be approximately ¥3,000 which is equivalent to $480.
Overall the model looks very sleek. We need to see how the larger screen is accepted by the consumers. There will be people who do not like bigger phones, but there are definitely a group of people who would love to work with larger screen like the Huawei Ascend Mate Smartphone 6.1 inch screen.
