Intel has introduced a new radio chip that integrates 3G amplifiers within their circuits and SoC format provides for economic communication devices. This new chip is Intel SMARTi UE2p

The Intel SMARTi UE2p is smaller and more efficient than previous solutions and less complex to make it easier for developers.

Also cheaper and more compact transceivers and amplifiers including HSPA 3G inside silicon die 655 nm with support for multiple configurations multiband.

Intel SMARTi UE2p is intended primarily for economic handsets with 3G in emerging and M2M (machine-to-machine). It will be available later this year.
