Kingmax Client Pro SSD: Review and Specs

Kingmax Company announced the launch of a new series of high-performance solid-state drives i.e. Kingmax Client Pro SSD, which includes models like Client Pro SMU32 and SMU35.

The new solid-state drives Kingmax Client Pro SSD are made in the form factor 2.5-inch Sandforce controller-based and high-speed synchronous flash memory. Models Kingmax Client Pro SMU32 and SMU35 support TRIM and NCQ commands to optimize, technology DuraWrite (uniform mechanism of cells to extend the life of memory), SMART function for data protection and a high level of Error Correction Code – 55 bit BCH ECC, preventing data loss in the event of errors. In addition, new models support RAID, allowing enthusiasts to gather fast systems based on multiple SSD. Kingmax Client Pro SMU32 – this is a basic version, and is designed for desktop PCs, SMU35 version comes with an adapter for mounting a 3.5-inch drive bay chassis. Both new products are available in capacities of 60, 120, 240 and 480 GB. All devices provide a maximum read speed of up to 550 MB / s and write max of 520 MB / s. Number of IO operations per second in a completely random writes blocks of 4 KB expressed at the level of 85 thousand for the models with a capacity of 60, 120, 240 GB, and at the level of 50 thousand – for the device with a capacity 480 GB. To connect to the system interface is used SATA3. The MTBF stated at 1.2 million hours.

It is expected that the new solid state drives Kingmax Client Pro SSD Series will be available in the near future, but the price level for the entire range is not yet reported, stay tuned for more updates.
