Lenovo has expanded its notebook models IdeaPad Y400, Y500, Z400 and Z500: Specs & Features

During the exhibition IFA 2012, Lenovo showed several new notebook models in the series IdeaPad Y and Z. All new items are running the operating system Windows 8.

IdeaPad Y400

Device Lenovo IdeaPad Y400 and Y500 are positioned as multimedia and gaming solutions. They are equipped with 14 inch and 15.6-inch display with HD resolution respectively. Other technical features of new products are the same. They may contain a processor Intel Core third generation (family Ivy Bridge) up to Core i7, up to 16 GB of memory standard, DDR3, hard disk capacity of up to 1 TB and up to two discrete graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT655M with 2GB of memory. The instruments are equipped with backlit keyboard AccuType, JBL sound system with support for Dolby Home Theater v4. These models will be available in October for a suggested retail price starting configuration from $ 650.

Laptops IdeaPad Z400 and Z500 are productive, but at the same time, the thin and light solutions. According to the manufacturer, the thickness is 25% less than standard laptops with similar screen sizes. They did not positioned as ultrabooks. They are equipped with standard mobile Intel Core chips up to the third generation Core i7 series and discrete graphics NVIDIA GeForce. IdeaPad Z400 model has 14-inch display, and the IdeaPad Z500 – 15 inch. Initially – in October – the market will do a model IdeaPad Z500. IdeaPad Z400 device will be in stores in November.
