Nokia Lumia 900 Smartphone: Complete Review & Specs

More expensive – is better? That such a question arises when meeting with the flagship model Nokia-based operating system Windows Phone. In fact, Nokia Lumia 900 is the second model mimics the achievements of last year’s ago. The original was released in the form of Nokia N9, Nokia Lumia later came the 800 and now the hero, Nokia Lumia 900. Does it make sense to overpay for a just released Lumia 900 model, when the great proven 800 is endowed with similar characteristics, but it is cheaper?

Appearance and ergonomics

Nokia Lumia 900
With the exception of the upper end, all that we see in Nokia Lumia 900, familiar to Nokia Lumia 800. The Nokia took into account the suggestions / complaints from customers and refused to use the panels covering the flap MicroUSB-connector. Now, it is always available, which, in our opinion, more practical. Location headphone jacks, and slots for MicroSIM-cards remained the same.
The same applies to hardware buttons for volume control, on / locks and cameras, which can be found on the right side. On the opposite side there is nothing. At the bottom there are plenty of slots for multi-media speaker, and there is also a microphone.
In contrast to the angular shape phones, tempered glass has the rounded corners, which seems pretty questionable. Apparently, this solution is used for one simple reason – edging glass, which stands over it. This gives reason to hope that the glass is less susceptible to scratches, if you put the phone down on the table display. This, in turn, is important because Nokia Lumia 900, as in the Nokia N9, Nokia Lumia 800 has the same drawback – the glossy plastic insert “under the metal”, which is covered with scratches as quickly as the back panel in the Apple iPod Touch the last generation. With this in mind, we decided not to shoot the film, which protects this part of the body. We advise you to do, and just as well or as soon clothe the smartphone in a bag, which, incidentally, is not supplied, as was the case with the two previous devices.

The minimum brightness is too high (more than 60 cd / m ²), while the maximum of 230 cd / m ². As a result, the far the most accurate color typical AMOLED-screen to add not the best indicators of luminosity.

The back of the smartphone copies Nokia N9, whose flash is located above the camera lens (if you keep your smartphone horizontally), and not as a Nokia Lumia 800, between the lens and the upper end.

Another change, this time more controversial than the location of outbreaks or denial of the closing plug MicroUSB, was the need to use a paper clip to access the SIM-card slot. Given that the user does not need to “look” they’re very often, you can forgive the lack of more original solutions in the form of a magnet, but the problem is not the case, but the fact that in the near hole cracks.
