PNY Prevail Elite and PNY XLR8 SSD: Specs & Price

PNY Technologies has just announced a new series of SSDs aimed at the consumer market and professional. Specially designed for the most demanding users, integrated controllers SandForce SF2200 and are manufactured in plants that the firm has in the U.S., meeting the quality standards more stringent.

The range starts with the PNY XLR8 SSD, a model for users who want to enjoy the advantages of SSD at an affordable price. With transfer rates reaching 500 Mb / s and up to 60,000 IOPS, PNY guarantees five years with transfer rates of 15 Gbytes per day. Versions will be sold in 120 GB capacity (99 euros), 240 GB (179 euros) and 480 GB (389 euros).

The new PNY XLR8 Pro SSD offers superior performance demanded demanding users such as professional photographers or video editing. It is capable of transfer rates up to 550 Mb / s and 85,000 IOPS. The device offers SATA III connection comprises a controller SandForce SF2281 and supports TRIM. The PNY XLR8 Pro can be purchased in versions of 120 Gbytes (119 euros), 240 GB (209 euros) and 480 GB (419 euros).

Finally, the PNY Prevail Elite are positioned on the top of the range and are designed for use intensive or in scenarios where they move a large volume of data and the security of them is a priority. Its performance reaches transfer rates of 550 Mb / s read and 520 MB / s in writing, with a level of IOPS that goes up to 85,000 transactions per second. The PNY Prevail Elite will be sold in 120 Gbytes (130 euros), 240 GB (220 euros) and 480 Gbytes (euros).
