Superzoom Leica V-Lux 4 and compact camera Leica D-Lux 6: Specs & Features

Leica Company keeps up with competitors, promulgating the last few days a lot of interesting cameras. It immediately introduced two new consumer classes: superzoom Leica V-Lux 4 camera, compact Leica D-Lux 6. Externally devices resemble Panasonic FZ200 and LX7, which, in fact, it is, but with the Leica brand and a special selection of the most successful models.

Leica V-Lux 4 is equipped with a 1.7-inch CMOS-sensor with a resolution of 12 megapixels and a powerful lens with a focal length of 25-600 mm (24 x optical zoom) and aperture f/2.8. 3-inch (460K pixels) with a swivel joint is suitable for shooting from unusual angles and video recording. The maximum sensitivity of ISO 6400, and video recording is carried out with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 60 frames per second.

In turn, Leica D-Lux 6 is suitable for users who want to learn some more compact solution, but keep the image quality on the level above the camera. Powered by the same sensor, the lens is different, and the display is devoid of the rotary joint.

In the 35-millimetrovok equivalent focal length is 24-90 mm, aperture – f/1.4-2.3. A large aperture will take quality pictures even in low light conditions. Also note the higher resolution display – 920 thousand pixels. Both cameras Leica V-Lux 4 and D-Lux 6 come bundled with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4. These two cameras Leica V-Lux 4 Superzoom and Leica D-Lux 6 will go on sale in November but there price is not yet revealed.
