Also, the growth of Google Play in this year is 311% versus 12.9% of App Store. The study is based on the 150,000 App Annie managed applications, while not the overall study whether it can serve as a sample of the general trend. Apple wins by a landslide at Google but the search giant grows.

In fact, Apple app store works best in free downloads that Google Play. Still, the Android store has grown 48% in the annual rate while the Apple App Store has made 3.3%. This denotes a small stagnant critical mass of Apple while a rise in the number of Android users.
