As part of the exhibition IFA 2012, which is taking place these days in Berlin, Acer demonstrated Aspire M3 ultrabook and a standard laptop Aspire V5, equipped with touch screen that allows you to use them in conjunction with the operating system Windows 8.
Ultrabook Acer Aspire M3 includes a 15.4-inch display, Intel Core of the third generation (family of Ivy Bridge), the discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT640M graphics card and optical drive. The device has a thickness of 22 mm and a weight of 2.3 kg.
Laptop Acer Aspire V5 is available in two models that differ in size display: 14 and 15.6 inches. Both versions have similar characteristics; they are equipped with Intel Core processors, and third-generation optical drive. In this 14-inch model weighs 2.1 kg with a thickness of 21 mm, and the device with a 15.6-inch screen has a thickness of 23 mm and a weight of 2.4 kg. More detailed characteristics of new products are not announced. We also learned that the market will do and more compact version of the laptop Aspire V5, equipped with 11.6-inch display, but lacks support for touch input.
Information about the timing of the start of sales and the level of the recommended retail prices of new ultrabook Aspire M3 and notebook Aspire V5 is not reported. However, we know that these devices are available in different color housings.
