Acer has announced a new 7-inch tablet Acer Iconia Tab A110, designed to compete with devices such as the Nexus 7, solutions from Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other analogues. The hardware of this device is similar to the Iconia Tab A700.
Acer Iconia Tab A110 is powered with SoC NVIDIA Tegra 3 and 1 GB of RAM. Similar characteristics and Nexus 7, although the display in this Acer tablet is lacking behind with 7-inch screen in whose resolution is 1024×600 pixels.
This tablet has built-in flash memory of 8 GB but can be expanded with microSD cards up to 32GB. There is also a 2-megapixel front camera. For connecting to a PC and external devices it is featuring the port Micro-USB 2.0. In addition, there is a way out Micro-HDMI. In the U.S. market the tablet will be available on October 30 at an estimated price of $ 300. With price of $ 300 it doesn’t make sense to compete with Nexus 7 which is already featuring better display resolution but it could give competition to other tablets of similar range.
