The Athlon processor series refuses to die and has been known that AMD will follow with three new models using microarchitecture-based ‘Piledriver’ and the socket FM2.
Some motherboards FM2 originally intended to accommodate the APU Trinity but also use AMD Athlon II X4 for these, without including graphics processors.
The models would be the Athlon II X4 730, Athlon II X4 740 and Athlon II X4 740K , with four processing cores native, 4 MB second level cache and TDP of 65 watts and 100 watts for the label under ‘K’ which WUE will indicate the multiplier unlocked.
A core processors, but sufficiently powerful and economical for the user who want to use socket FM2 with additional dedicated graphics without using the APU and to computer manufacturers on the market putting desktop entry discounts.
