Processor AMD FX-8350 Vishera hit the market with the new Piledriver architecture that promises significant improvements compared to its predecessor. The web OBR-Hardware has compared Bulldozer FX-8150 chip with the new AMD FX-8350 Vishera and the results are positive in instance.
Tests are Cinebench R20 past x64, x64 R11.5 Cinebench, Fritz Chess, SuperPi 1M, x264 Benchmark – wPrime 720p 32. Among the results it can be concluded that AMD FX-8350 Vishera has a 10% better performance in multithreaded tasks and 4-5% better on tasks monofilament.
That performance is better than the FX-8150 but not as high as might be expected of an architectural change as marked Piledriver. But we have to break a lance for AMD, since the chip tested is an engineering sample and not the final product in the test.
The chip AMD FX-8350 Vishera works at 4 GHz and reaches 4.2 GHz with Turbo Core is manufactured in 32 nm and has an 8 MB L2 cache (2 per core) and 8 MB shared L3.
