AMD Trinity series processor will be available on October 1

The new generation of microprocessors for desktop, AMD Trinity series processor, would be available for retail sale on October 1.

Currently only available on new computers like the HP Pavilion p7 , the AMD Trinity series processor reach the retail channel as an alternative to buying Intel Ivy Bridge and also the FX Bulldozer in the same AMD.

In principle would be five models for sale: A10-5800, A10-5700, A8-5600, A6 and A8-5500-5400. All under APU design with a processor, GPU and memory controller on die delivered to socket FM2.

The most powerful, AMD Trinity series processor A10-5800, would have four physical cores processing with frequency range up to 4.2 GHz under TurboBoost, 4 MB L2 cache, a TDP of 100 watts, memory controller for DDR3-1866 dual channel and a integrated graphics chip Radeon HD 7660D with 384 graphics cores, a frequency of 800 MHz, large media library support, including DirectX 11 and other technologies such as AMD’s own Eyefinity.
