The company Archos expanded its line of tablets by introducing all new Archos 80 Cobalt. It is difficult to find anything particularly original, as, for example, hardware gaming controls in Archos GamePad, but the manufacturer promises a very democratic price. The tablet is equipped with an 8-inch LCD display with capacitive touch panel with a resolution of 1024×768 pixels. At present it is not reported officially that which matrix is integrated in the display.
At the core level, Archos 80 Cobalt using SoC with two cores at 1.6GHz, Supplement 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of flash memory. Unlike Google’s Nexus 7 and Nexus 10, this tablet is featuring memory card slot for microSD. If required, storage space can be increased up to 64 GB in addition to the internal memory.
Archos 80 Cobalt is equipped with two cameras, but the quality leaves much to be desired: the front module is equipped with VGA-sensor, rear – 2-megapixel. This is not the most compact and lightest tablet on the market: its weight – 470 g, thickness – 12 mm. It works under Android 4.0 ICS. Manufacturer has not yet revealed about the exact release date and cost, promising that the device will be available “soon at a price of less than $ 200”.
This was all regarding the upcoming and one of the most promising tablets i.e. Archos 80 Cobalt.
