Among the ultrabooks of Asus Zenbook series ultrabooks are the premium, ultra mobility of the real Ferrari brand, Zenbook and “normal” more affordable. The ASUS Zenbook UX32VD is part of the second family, even though it is still more than 1000 euros. ASUS Zenbook UX32VD is 13.3inches format ultrabook! Its metal frame color aluminium bronze, “unibody” (one piece) is particularly well designed. As thick (2.1 cm) and almost as light (1.47 kg against 1.4) than its big brother ( Zenbook Prime) , the UX32VD is distinguished by a frame round a little in some places and a connection a little more substantial. The Intel Core i7-3517U is a dual-core designed low power (ultrabook oblige!) supported by 4 GB of memory. Swift, it has enough power to handle photos or to do some video editing. In addition, storage combines a traditional hard drive and a 500 GB SSD module (24GB) for better responsiveness. Windows startup and wakeup is done as soon as possible. And as the security of your data is important, Asus has brought Intel Anti-Theft Preinstalled software (39 euros per year), which is used to encrypt data or render inoperative the remote machine. The graphic part is assigned to a GeForce GT 620M, coupled with Intel integrated graphics by Nvidia Optimus. As a reminder, this technology ensures switching between the two graphics chips as needed for applications. Thus, the laptop consumes only a small ten watts idle (Windows desktop) and the ventilation is very quiet (31.3 dB).
