On Friday in Kiev, HTC made the presentation of two new smartphones on Windows Phone 8, and these two smartphones got the similar names as WP. These two phones are called as HTC Windows Phone 8X and 8S.

HTC Windows Phone 8X model is equipped with a 4.3-inch Super LCD display with two 1280 x 720 pixels (341 ppi), and contains protective glass Gorilla Glass 2. This HTC’s flagship smartphone on Windows Phone 8, respectively installed a new 28-nanometer system-on-a-chip with the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor at 1.5 GHz and 1 GB RAM. To store user data, there are 16 GB of internal storage but there is no memory card slot.

For shooting photos and videos in Windows Phone 8X has an 8-megapixel camera with a backlit BSI, a maximum aperture of f/2.0 and LED flash. For the first time in the smartphone of HTC has used a 2.1-megapixel front camera with ultra viewing angle of 88 °. The company argued that the new front-facing camera can hold in your field of view up to 4 people.
Junior model HTC Windows Phone 8S got a 4-inch Super LCD display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, covered with protective glass Gorilla Glass. It also uses a system-on-chip, Snapdragon S4, but with a reduced frequency of 1 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM. Internal memory, compared to the older model, is also less than & a total of 4 GB, but it can be extended through the slot by microSD.

Camera in HTC Windows Phone 8S is of 5 megapixel with a focal length of 35 mm and a maximum aperture of f/2.8 LED-flash. But there is not front camera in this model for video calling.
The sales of HTC Windows Phone 8X will on the tenth of November for a suggested retail price of 500 EUR. It is more expensive than the previously stated value, as at the time of the announcement and Junior model HTC Windows Phone 8S will appear later, in early December, and its cost will be 260 EUR.
