Announced in May, an unusual Ultrabook Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon for some time lost sight of, and only now the company is once again drew public attention to it, announcing the release date and cost of the device.
Recall that one of the main features of the product is its rugged, lightweight carbon-fiber casing, through which the mass of laptops with 14-inch display is only 1.73 kg (thickness – 21.3 mm). The base model of ThinkPad X1 Carbon ultrabook will cost $ 1,400 and for the money it receives from the device processor Intel Core i5-3317U 1,7 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, a 128-gigabyte solid state drive and an integrated GPU Intel HD Graphics. As in the original model ThinkPad X1 Carbon ultrabook, 3G-modem is optional.
There will also be available and more expensive configurations. For example, adding $ 100 you can install Core i5 processor at 1.8 GHz, and the model for $ 1650 capacity is 256 GB SSD. The flagship is worth another $ 200 more expensive (in total – 14 980 USD), but differs only Core i7 processor with a frequency of 2 GHz.
ThinkPad X1 Carbon is powered with Ivy Bridge generation processors and has a display resolution of 1600×900 pixels. Among other features to mention are support for Intel vPro technology and RapidCharge. The latter allows you to charge the laptop up to 80% of battery capacity in just 30 minutes. By the way, without recharging the device is capable of up to 6.3 hours. As per the Lenovo, this Ultrabook i.e. Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon will arrive on August 21.
