Micromax has announced that it’s much awaited product A116 Canvas HD (some people are incorrectly calling it A116 Canvas 3) will be launched in couple of days – on 14th Feb.
It was to be launched in the first week of February but was delayed for some reason. Meanwhile, its other popular phone with a long waiting list – Micromax A110 Canvas 2 continues to be not available in major stores.
Micromax A116 Canvas HD is eagerly awaited for the specs it offers at a price of less than Rs. 15k.
Its key features expected to be cracking are a 5 inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Also the powerful 1.2GHz quad core MediaTek MT6589 processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, VGA front camera for video calling, 8MP rear camera, 4GB internal storage, 1GB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, GPS/A-GPS, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 2,100 mAh battery.
A116 Canvas HD is the first quad-core phone from Micromax and has potential to do well in the market because of the fantastic price. Meanwhile, its competitor launched its great phone Samsung Galaxy Grand which would definitely have eaten up into some of its market share due to delay in launch of Micromax A116 Canvas HD. Is Micromax intentionally keeping A110 Canvas 2 out of market?
