NEC has introduced new electronic tablet called NEX Sox Tab that advertised as the “world’s lightest” in the segment of the 7-inch diagonal.

Compared with 340 grams of the 340 grams of Nexus 7, this NEC Medias N08-D UL Tab weighs only 249 grams with the same screen size of 7 inches a battery though justified of 3100 mAh.

This NEC Medias N08-D UL Tab uses a SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor at 1.5 GHz and Adreno 305 graphics. No doubt that with this hardware it would be great at performance. Snapdragon S4 is the most flexible mobile solution that is available.

As announced NEC Medias N08-D UL Tab will come with Android operating system ICS and later will be updated to Jelly Bean after marketing in Wi-Fi versions and also 3G through NTT DoCoMo. We do not know when NEC will reveal the price or sell it outside Japan, this tab seems to be pretty good but later its real performance may be judged and at present what we can say; with 240g of weight this NEC Medias N08-D UL Tab has won the reward of being lighted tablet in the market.
