AMD Company plans for the release of new AMD processors hybrid APU of new generation. The chips will be manufactured at rates 28-nanometer manufacturing process. Their productions will Global Foundries and new APU will be AMD kaveri, AMD kabini and AMD Temash.
It is reported that the processors AMD Kaveri will be integrated architecture cores of next generation, known as the Steamroller, and graphics architecture Graphics CoreNext. Computing cores provide performance improvements and energy efficiency compared to existing solutions.
In addition, AMD intends to present a cost-APU AMD Kabini, which will replace the platform Brazos. Processors will AMD Kabini computational core x86-64 architecture-based Jaguar. These devices will be complex systems-on-chip. In addition to the cores, graphics core and memory controller are also integrated into the chipset and functionality. This will result in increase of the chip and the increase in its size, but it will simplify the design of the motherboard and reduce its size. Thus, AMD Kabini processors can be used in compact computer systems, such as tablets.
AMD also plans to release an ultra-efficient processors APU codenamed AMD Temash. As Kabini, these processors will be complex systems on a chip. However, their development focus is on energy efficiency. As a result, they are a TDP not exceed 5 watts, which will use them as part of the compact tablets. This was all regarding the upcoming processors AMD kaveri, AMD kabini and AMD Temash, stay tuned for better and detailed specs & features of the APU.
