In the very popular entry level Coolpix camera series, Nikon Coolpix S9500 is introduced at a price of $350.
Nikon coolpix S9500 Specifications:
The new Nikon Coolpix S9500 offers mid-range specs. It has a 18.1-megapixel 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensor and a 3-inch OLED display. It comes with a 22x optical zoom lens that covers the wide-angle 25 mm to super-telephoto 550 mm.
It has embedded WiFi and GPS. GPS supports recording of shooting position information (latitude and longitude) and upload your pictures directly from the camera and has a 1080/30p HD video capture mode.
This is what Nikon says about S9500:
“Coolpix S9500 is a multi-functional, high-power zoom model offering 22x optical zoom and equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS functions”
The S9500 also comes with an electronic compass and will come in Black, red, silver, brown finishes.
Personally, I was quite impressed with earlier Coolpix cameras – L26, L810. So, while Coolpix S9500 reviews are good, if you are looking for cheaper models, do check out L26 costing $97 and L810 priced at $269.
