NPG Launches Android Smart TV box with built-in HD tuner NPG DHT-S866A: Review & Specs

NPG is going to launch an Android Smart TV box i.e. NPG DHT-S866A. So we expect the housing Google TV from Sony and several manufacturers announced the arrival of HDMI dongles to connect to any TV to the Internet, it is the turn of NPG to predict the arrival in September 2012.

A mini computer running Android 4.0

NPG DHT-S866A is a “box” black compact integrated with a HD tuner and a real small computer. Inside, NPG has indeed embedded dual core ARM Cortex 9 1.5 GHz processor with 1 GB of RAM, a chipset and 3D Graphics HD, flash memory of 4 GB and even planned for a bay adding a 3.5-inch hard disk up to 2 TB. Wi-Fi and is of course present as well as HDMI output, four USB 2.0 ports (with the possibility to connect a keyboard and mouse), a reader SD Card, VGA output, Ethernet port, two digital audio outputs (optical + coaxial), a YUV output and analog audio / video. This NPG DHT-S866A Android Smart TV Box little box is also DLNA certified and will run Android 4.0. It will then serve as an Internet gateway to all the old TVs and allow them to navigate online through Google Chrome, to take advantage of social networks and the myriad of applications and services available on Google Play.
HD and a small price

Noted finally that this adapter of Smart TV will be able to handle 1080p and it will come with its infrared remote location at a price of around 99 Euros.
