October 26 Microsoft will launch Xbox Music service offering free music

Later this month, at the same time with the start of sales of Windows 8 Microsoft will launch a music service Xbox Music, reports The Verge, citing several of its own anonymous sources familiar with the plans of the corporation. As part of the service is considered as a paid subscription in the manner of Zune Music Pass, and the free version of the broadcast ad-supported, such as in Spotify. At launch, Xbox Music will be available for the platforms Windows Phone, Windows 8 and Xbox 360.

This function allows to store in the cloud, and personal music playlists, access them from any device with support for Xbox Music. In addition, Microsoft is not going to be limited to only the above platforms. It is expected that in the future customers will be Xbox Music for iOS and Android.

Today, the company is finalizing the built-in Windows 8 media applications for full compatibility with the new service i.e. Xbox Music.
