Panasonic has unveiled its latest camera, the first interchangeable lens camera, featuring superb picture quality and high speed response. This will be a digital single lens Mirrorless Camera DMC-GF6 from the most compact GF series of LUMIX G. The camera will have a 16 megapixel sensor to capture high resolution pictures. It will be same as the one used in Panasonic GX1 camera with increased resolution. The performance of the camera is boosted with the use of Venus Engine which is especially developed for DMC-GF6. The advanced noise reduction system allows users to achieve shooting at maximum at ISO 25600.
The Panasonic camera comes up with wide variety of features such as Creative control mode with 19 different filter effects using 19 different digital selectable filters. Some other interesting features include the new Self Shot, Creative Panorama and Stop Motion. The Stop Motion allows users to erase unwanted part of a picture after shooting.
The best feature that make out the the GF6 from other is it the Wi-Fi® connectivity (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) featuring NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. Users can connect the camera to their smartphone/tablet easily and can share images with a touch of a screen. The smartphone/tablet can also be used as a remote shutter with a monitor. Not only releasing the shutter but functions such as zooming, focusing and settings of shutter speed, aperture, are all can be controlled with your smartphone/tablet. Images or video recording can be easily transferred to your PC automatically using your wireless access point.
The GF6 camera Low Light AF allows accurate focusing on the target subject even in low light situations. Oner big change is the updated 1040K dot screen that can tilt and flip 180-degree which helps in taking self images and help shooting from awkward angles. It is a touchscreen camera featuring 1040k pixels same like the Panasonic GF5.
The DMC-GF6 records 1920 x 1080 at 60i (60 Hz) / 50i (50 Hz) full HD videos with high quality stereo sound in the AVCHD format. It is a stylish designed compact camera even with its built-in flash. The camera comes in various colors including black, white, brown and red. The white camera kit DMC-GF6X-W is bundled with a new power zoom digital interchangeable lens.
The Panasonic GF6 camera will be priced around £449, the release date is not yet announced by Panasonic, however expected to be in market by the mid of next month.
