Samsung is working on new ARM chips totaling no less than 8 cores, architectures based on Cortex-A15 and Cortex-A7 so; it would be the first Samsung 8-core processor development.
The Samsung 8-core processor development designs based on the concept -Little Big British firm ARM uniting in a system on a chip (SoC) processors two different but compatible, in this case combining the high performance of the A15 and the low consumption of the Cortex A7.
The Samsung 8-core processor is designed on technology of 28 nanometers and has versions 2 +2 / 4 +4 cores. The management software would select the appropriate processor or both, depending on the workload and automatically unnoticed by the user.
Samsung will present this Samsung 8-core processor development at the conference International Solid-State Circuits (ISSCC 2013) to be held next February, for later use in future generations of electronic tablets and smartphones, competing with Tegra 4 SoC as or Qualcomm Snapdragon.
