Samsung Galaxy Discover Affordable ICS Android Smartphone: Review & Features

In the month of November 2012, Samsung hit the shelves of market with an affordable Android smartphone solution; in this case we are talking about Samsung Galaxy Discover. One could easily judge from the hardware of this phone that it is an entry level smartphone but still featuring pretty good hardware as according to the price.

In case of hardware, Samsung Galaxy Discover is featuring single-core 800MHz Coretex-A5 processor and on other side 512MB of RAM is boasting this processor. This combination results in pretty smooth performance but you cannot run too many application simultaneously. Interesting thing is that, it comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage memory which can be expanded more up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card.

Samsung Galaxy Discover is running on recent version of Android OS, v4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. The design and construction of this Galaxy smartphone is pretty interesting with 1112/8 x 61.5 x 11.5 mm of dimensions and weight of 122g. This smartphone is carrying 3.5inches TFT capacitive touchscreen display capable of supporting the resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and has touch sensitive controls too.

Samsung Galaxy Discover having only one camera sensor of 3.15MP with LED flash, Geo-tagging and touch focus features. In connectivity, this Samsung smartphone is featuring GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB, 2G & 3G network supports. Its Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery is pretty promising and gives battery backup around 7 hours in talk-time mode and up to 400 h in stand-by mode. The most interesting factor of Samsung Galaxy Discover is its price, it has got just a price tag of 80 EUR but that bad thing is that, this is a region specific smartphone and available with Telus.
