Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3- and 5.8-inch sizes launched: Specs, Features

Before talking about the Samsung Galaxy Mega story, I need to write something about Samsung.

The first time I heard about Samsung was in 1997 when I was in South Korea on business for about 2 months. Whichever electronic shops I went to, it was Samsung and Goldstar all over (Lucky Goldstar became LG later for western world). The meaning of Samsung is “Three stars”. Those were the days when Sony and Panasonic ruled the world. There was also Aiwa in South Korea market.

That was the first time I bought a Samsung product – a camera. It was brilliant and it served me until a house break in at Ipswich, England…sigh…

Ever since then, I have seen this company getting more and more popular in England for several products. And I wasn’t surprised having seen the quality of its products first hand.

Ok, coming back to the actual news now – without anyone expecting, Samsung has launched two Galaxy Mega smartphones somewhere between Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy Note II at the same time. Both are expected to be available in Europe some time next month. Samsung really got the Smartphone / Phablet debate to the front again.
