Skullcandy Company launched three new models of gaming headphones that are Skullcandy PLYR 1, PLYR 2 and SLYR, targeted at different audiences.

The most functional of the new products Skullcandy PLYR 1 – is a closed-end solution. The device provides a virtual multi-channel surround sound with support for Dolby 7.1 Surround. It has also claimed to support proprietary Supreme Sound, which provides enhanced reproduction of lower frequencies and accurate reproduction of high frequencies. In addition, the headphones are equipped with a microphone and a built-in swivel rotary EQ EQ3, which switches the settings for the most comfortable listening experience for games, movies or listening to music. Moreover for connecting to a computer or a game console (officially supports XBOX and PS3) wireless interface is available. The price of such solutions is set at $ 180.

Another model is Skullcandy PLYR 2. In this case, the manufacturer refused to implement a multi-channel virtual surround sound Dolby 7.1 Surround. As a result, the price of the new items reduced to $ 130. Other features are identical to the older model.

The most affordable model announced is Skullcandy SLYR. In order to further reduce the cost in this case it was decided to abandon the use of the wireless interface.
