Green energy enthusiasts (including me) should be delighted to read about this solar powered lantern / lamp called ‘Luci’.
While I have been doing overnight treks in the jungle and living in a tent, I always carry set of batteries. When I visited backwaters of Koyana river dam in Maharashtra India, it is devastating to see the people live there in total darkness.
Children cannot study at night since they can’t afford the kerosene lamps. So, there are some organizations who have donated them Solar powered lanterns. I was told they costed rupees 1500 apiece (about USD30).
With this background that I have seen, when I came across Luci solar powered lantern by mpowerd, I was curious to know about the features, specs and more importantly the price point at which it will be sold at. So far, it has not disappointed.
