VIA is prepared to release a new model compact motherboard VIA EPIA-M920, which is designed for use in the embedded systems in healthcare, digital kiosks, as well as in the entertainment.
Announced VIA EPIA-M920 model is made in the form factor Mini-ITX (17×17 cm). It is based on the new processor digital multimedia signals VX11H. Depending on the needs of the end user, the motherboard can be preset to dual-core VIA Eden X2 processor with 1 GHz (for systems with basic tasks) or quad-core chip E Series 1.2 GHz (for systems more resource-intensive tasks). It is noted that the chipset and processors are fairly economical, allowing you to create a computer system without the use of active cooling system. However supported by the ability to install the fan on the CPU heatsink.
The VIA EPIA-M920 device allows up to 16GB of DDR3 memory with up to 1333 MHz, and connect up to two drives with interface SATA. The rear panel provides two Gigabit Ethernet ports Ethernet, two ports USB 3.0, two ports USB 2.0, two video output HDMI, a single connector VGA, one COM port and audio connectors. Additional PCB connectors are available for the two ports LVDS, single port USB 3.0, four ports USB 2.0, three RS232 ports with Power 5/12 slot SD (with support for SDHC / SDXC) and one slot PCIe x4. Novelty has support for DirectX 11, 3D displays, and graphics solution VIA Chromotion 5.0 provides hardware acceleration for video decoding of MPEG-2, MPEG-4, VC1, WMV9 H.264 at resolutions up to 1080p.
