With one week to go for the Las Vegas CES, Polaroid has unveiled a portable tablet for kids that use Android 4.0. With this, Polaroid best known for its instant film cameras, entered into the kids section. The Polaroid kids tablet will have a 7-inch display with white and blue design. The tablet would be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and will have 800x 400 screen resolution. The device is powered by a 1 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM With its multi-touch display feature, the kids will have fun in playing their favorite games and apps.
The Polaroid kids tablet will have 35 preloaded applications that include Music Studio, Draw, Kids Cam, and Kids Vids. The Kids Vids app will help children stream various kid-friendly videos. Also included is App Shop, which comes with paid kid-friendly apps along with per-loaded free apps. The built-in parental controls monitor content will allow parent to filter apps so that only appropriate applications made available to children. The tablet is quite sturdy to help keep it safe from drops.
